Founded in 1859, the not-for-profit American Dental Association (ADA) is the nation’s largest dental association. Founded in 1952, the AGD is a professional organization of general dentists who are dedicated to the goal of lifelong learning. In order to maintain their membership in the AGD, our dentists are required to take 75 hours of continuing dental education over a three year period. The AGD rigidly enforces this standard. Members of the Academy of General Dentistry are able to access the most up-to-date educational resources to share with patients and the community.
